Open Body Collective

CONTRIBUTION: Camera Operator, Editor, Colorist, Sound Designer

I was privileged to capture Open Body Collective’s first stretch class for the summer. The class is led by two amazing fitness instructors, Trinity & Ali. After being in the Toronto fitness/wellness space for several years, they had started to ask the question: what if stretching could be more accessible and somewhere people genuinely wanted to come every week? The goal of this weekly event was to create a space where people could slow down, move with intention, and feel a little more connected to their bodies. Through intentional camera work, I highlighted the engaging moments of the class. I also made use of creative lighting techniques to capture beautiful & professional interviews with each instructor. The goal of capturing interviews was to showcase Trinity & Ali's expertise as fitness instructors and their thought process behind why these classes were so important. Creating a video that not only recaps the event but also inspires viewers to be curious about how accessible fitness should be. If you want your event captured in a way that resonates and connects, let's work together!
